Termite's wings are twice as long as their body. Ants have 3 distinct body parts. Swarmers are about 3/8 inch long (including wings). Workers and Soldiers are about 1/8 in long (about half a match-head).

Underground Termite Colonies

Eastern Subterranean Termite colonies are located under ground to survive freezing temperatures. Workers construct tunnels to their food sources and bring the food back to the rest of the colony. Their tunnels radiate within 100 yard radius from a central colony nest to find food.
